Saw this on Hacker News today — it’s the FAQ for programming.reddit ( http://www.reddit.com/help/faqs/programming ), and it answers such questions as:

  • What programming blogs or websites do you read?
  • What programming books should I read?
  • How do I beat procrastination?
  • What are some good programming puzzles?
  • What web framework should I use for my next web app?
  • What is the best way to learn language X or framework Y?

Like I wrote, this post isn’t exactly a question. It’s a link to the answers to other questions that seem like they would interest the people here.

Some of the stuff on reddit/programming is pretty advanced and so there's also the learnprogramming reddit, http://www.reddit.com/r/learnprogramming. This reddit bills itself thusly: "Welcome to learnprogramming. All questions are welcome here. If you are absolutely new to programming and want to know where to start, please tell us what you'd like to gain so we can guide you accordingly." Especially if you're less experienced, it's a good reddit to browse.
